What Attaching Machine is Right for You?
Choosing the right attaching machine

When considering what type of attaching machine best fits your needs,

Based on fastener type, production capacity
volumes, handling processes and application positioning, UFI attaching
machines can address all of your needs. Listed below are the basic types
of attaching equipment for your consideration.
- HANDPRESS: Used most often
for prototype applications or sample production, these machines offer
limited daily application volume. Moreover, if they are not closely
monitored, inconsistent attachments are possible. These machines are
for sale; no lease is available.
- FOOTPRESS: Used in production
environments that require low volume daily attachments, the footpress
is hand loaded, each fastener component must be positioned in the
attaching dies manually, and then the foot pedal is depressed. The
foot pedal drives the actual fastener attachment. As with the handpress,
attachment consistency is totally controlled by the speed and proficiency
of the operator. These machines are for sale; no lease is available.
- PNEUMATIC or ELECTRIC MANUAL PRESS:
These differ from the footpress in that pneumatic or electrical devices
drive the attachment process. This makes application faster and more
consistent. As with the footpress, fastener components are positioned
in the attaching dies by hand. These machines are for sale; no lease
is available.
- PNEUMATIC OR ELECTRIC, FULLY AUTOMATIC
ATTACHING MACHINES: These machines are used in high volume
production environments that require fast and consistent attachments.
Volume production is the basic criteria for the automatic attaching
machines. These machines are leased only.
